The Netherlands have officially revealed their squad for the 2026 Men’s T20I World Cup, with Scott Edwards set to lead the team once again.

This announcement comes with significant changes compared to the roster that faced Bangladesh during their last T20I assignment in August-September.

The squad sees the return of several high-profile players who missed the recent Bangladesh tour. Veteran Roelof van der Merwe and star all-rounder Bas de Leede are back in the mix, alongside Michael Levitt and Zach Lion-Cachet.

Experienced heads Colin Ackermann and Timm van der Gugten also make their T20I returns after more than a year away. Ackermann earned his spot following a strong 2025 season in the Vitality Blast, where he scored 304 runs.

Similarly, van der Gugten returns after a solid bowling stint in the same tournament. Fast bowler Logan van Beek also rejoins the Netherlands setup after a successful run in New Zealand’s Super Smash competition.

While the squad leans on experience, there is room for fresh blood. Kyle Klein and Noah Croes have been selected, with Croes serving as the backup wicketkeeper. Interestingly, neither player has ever featured in a T20I World Cup match before.

However, the selection has resulted in some big names missing out. Teja Nidamanuru, Tim Pringle, and Vikramjit Singh have all been excluded. Other players left out from the previous series include Daniel Doram, Shariz Ahmad, and Ryan Klein.
