The globetrotting T20 franchise legend bid adieu to the game after Namibia’s loss to England in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Wiese, 39, has left an indelible mark on the sport, entertaining fans with his electrifying performances on the field.
The right-handed batter was known for his explosive batting style, and his final T20I outing was no exception. In his swan song, Wiese smashed a 27-ball 27, inclusive of two fours and as many sixes, at a strike rate of 225.00.

His impressive cameo was brought to an end when he holed out at long-on while attempting to clear the ropes off Jofra Archer’s bowling.

In T20Is, Wiese donned the Namibian jersey for 34 matches, snaring 35 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.95 runs per over. He also accumulated 528 runs at a strike rate of 128.81, striking three half-centuries. His T20I debut for Namibia came against UAE in 2021.
