During the second Test match between Australia and South Africa, such an incident happened on the ground of MCG, due to which South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje narrowly survived, otherwise the injury could have been deep.
A video has been posted on social media, in which the incident has been captured. The incident happened in the 48th over when David Warner and Steve Smith were batting. South African spin bowler Keshav Mehraj was preparing to bowl when the spy camera went on the shoulder of Anrich Nortje fielding at mid-wicket. He fell on the ground, but the good thing was that his injury was not too deep.
Nortje also bowled ahead and got the crucial wicket of Steve Smith to break the 239-run partnership between Warner and Smith. He bowled 16 overs and took the only wicket of Smith. Smith played an inning of 86 runs.
Talking about the match, thanks to the partnership of David Warner and Steve Smith, Australia scored 386 runs by losing 3 wickets till the end of the second day’s play in response to South Africa’s 189 runs. Australia has a huge lead of 197 runs.
