with Cricbuzz, ‘Initially I was thinking of Ruturaj Gaikwad, but Ishan Kishan did not score runs earlier and he did not get many chances to play in the Indian team. So Ishan Kishan will be aiming to seal his spot in the 50 over World Cup with a bang in the upcoming IPL. After this, he will get a chance to play more in T20I International as well.’
Sehwag believes Ishan Kishan has a lot to prove in the upcoming IPL and a good performance will open doors for him for the World Cup later on. Ishan Kishan has so far scored 1870 runs in 75 matches in IPL with the help of 12 half-centuries.
If he manages to find his form then we can expect to increase the headache of the selectors for the World Cup.
Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan is currently busy preparing for the IPL. Mumbai Indians shared a reel on Instagram, in which Kishan is seen batting in the nets. The 24-year-old Kishan played many attractive shots and looks like he is all set for the upcoming tournament.
Ishan Kishan said, ‘I came late, but everyone treated me well. Special thanks to Paul Chapman, who didn’t rush me too much. But I hope that we will continue to do good work. Definitely happy to be back at Mumbai Indians. Here you will get a chance to spend time with your old and new colleagues’
Hope you know that Mumbai Indians will play their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 2nd April.
