In the 70th match of IPL 2023, Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans faced Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Meanwhile, the Gujarat team was initially seen facing trouble in front of RCB.

Gujarat lost the wicket of opener Wriddhiman Saha cheaply. Wayne Parnell took a brilliant catch off Mohammad Siraj and sent the Gujarat batsman to the pavilion. Meanwhile, all-rounder Vijay Shankar came to the crease and led the innings with the in-form Shubman Gill.

While Gill was increasing the team’s score by hitting boundaries, on the other hand Vijay had to struggle to score runs in the beginning. However, as the match progressed, both the batsmen played brilliant innings for the team.

Vijay Shankar hit the young RCB pacer for two consecutive fours. And after this he completed his half-century by hitting a six of 106 meters. Vijay scored 53 runs for Gujarat in 35 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Virat Kohli caught the catch of Vijay Shankar on the ball of RCB’s Vijaykumar Vaishak, sent him to the pavilion. A brilliant six of 106 meters was the highlight of Vijay Shankar’s innings.
