Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the two most successful teams in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, have submitted their list of retained and released players to the BCCI ahead of the upcoming IPL 2023 mini auction. There will be a mini auction for the 16th season of IPL 2023 in December.
MI and CSK have submitted their respective lists to the BCCI for the 16th season of IPL 2023. In the list of retention and released players, the biggest shocking news is that five-time IPL champion MI has released Pollard.
While CSK has retained Ravindra Jadeja in the team. Chennai Super Kings has released Chris Jordan, Adam Mill and Mitchell Santner.
IPL 2023 Mini Auction to be held on 23rd December :-
As far as Mumbai Indians are concerned, apart from Pollard, Fab Allen and Tymal Mills have also been released. Pollard had been playing for Mumbai Indians since 2010 but struggled last season.
The upcoming IPL 2023 mini auction is scheduled to take place in December in Kochi. By November 15, the BCCI has directed all the franchises to submit their list of retained and released players.
Mumbai Indians: Players retained and released :-
Rohit Sharma, Devald Brevis, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Daniel Sams, Tim David, Jofra Archer, Jasprit Bumrah, Tristan Stubbs, Tilak Verma.
At the same time, Fabian Allen, Kieron Pollard, Tymal Mills, Mayank Markande and Hrithik Shokin have been released.
Chennai Super Kings: Players retained and released :-
The Yellow Army has retained 9 players. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dubey, Rituraj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Mukesh Chaudhary, Dwayne Pretorius and Deepak Chahar will also be seen playing for CSK in IPL 2023.
While four players have been released. Chris Jordan, Adam Mill, Narayan Jagadeesan and Mitchell Santner will be seen in the IPL auction.
