The 10th edition of the T20I World Cup has reached its most exciting phase. After a thrilling opening round filled with close matches and major upsets, the 20-team tournament has been narrowed down to the final eight.
The Super 8 stage officially kicks off this Saturday, and fans are bracing for high-octane cricket as the world’s best teams battle for a spot in the semi-finals.
The Super 8 teams are divided into two groups of four based on their pre-seeded pools.
While seven of the eight pre-seeded teams moved forward, the biggest shock was the exit of top-seeded Australia. Their spot in Group 1 has been taken by Zimbabwe, who earned their place after an inspiring run.
- Group 1: India, Zimbabwe, West Indies, and South Africa.
- Group 2: Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, and New Zealand.
How the Super 8 Works!

The matches will follow a single round-robin format. This means every team in a group will play each other once. The stakes are incredibly high, as only the top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
This intense stage of the tournament is scheduled to run from February 21 to March 1.
