Canada’s batting performance was a mixed bag, with Nicholas Kirton and Shreyas Movva sharing a 75-run partnership for the fifth wicket. However, Barry McCarthy’s two-wicket haul in the 19th over and Mark Adair’s economical 20th over restricted Canada’s total to 137/7 in 20 overs.

The Irish batting line-up, on the other hand, struggled to get going against the Canadian bowlers. Jeremy Gordon and Dilon Heyliger were the standout performers, with Gordon recording impressive figures of 2/16 and Heyliger picking up two wickets for just 18 runs.
