In a disheartening turn of events, Naushad Khan, the father of rising cricket star Sarfaraz Khan, has found himself embroiled in a series of scams aimed at exploiting the dreams of aspiring cricketers.

The distressing revelation comes on the heels of Sarfaraz’s recent debut for the Indian cricket team, where he credited his father for unwavering support throughout his journey.

Taking to social media, the former cricketer and coach voiced his concerns about the fraudulent misuse of his identity. Naushad exposed how unscrupulous individuals are creating fake profiles on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, preying on unsuspecting youngsters.

These scammers lure their victims with false promises of securing opportunities such as becoming an IPL net bowler, gaining selection for prestigious academies, or earning a spot on state teams.

In a video addressing the alarming situation, Naushad Khan appealed to aspiring players to remain vigilant and trust in their hard work. He clarified that he is not currently associated with any IPL team and has no coaching commitments at present.

WATCH: Naushad Khan warns people

“Good morning, friends. Once again, I have come in front of you because my name (Naushad Khan) is being used by many people to create fake IDs on Facebook and Instagram. They are asking for money from kids, ensuring that they’ll become a net bowler in the IPL, get selected in the academy, or be on a state team. I urge you to not get involved in this and trust your hard work. I am not currently connected with any IPL team at this time. I am not going to coach right now. So, thank you very much for not getting involved in this,”

Sarfaraz Khan’s father said in the video.

This unfortunate incident highlights the vulnerability of young and aspiring cricketers who may fall prey to deceitful schemes. Naushad’s public admonition serves as a crucial reminder for individuals to exercise caution, rely on their dedication and talent, and steer clear of fraudulent endeavors.

Aspiring cricketers must remain vigilant and discerning, ensuring that their dreams are pursued through legitimate channels rather than falling victim to exploitative tactics.
