India’s stand-in captain Rohit Sharma was spotted in a rush at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, on Sunday. The cricketer, who is set to rejoin the national squad ahead of the third Test against England in Rajkot, was captured by paparazzi as he hurried to catch his flight.

Despite the photographers’ requests for pictures, Rohit Sharma was more concerned about making it to his flight on time. “Flight miss hojaega bhaiya,” the 36-year-old was heard telling the paparazzi, emphasizing the importance of catching his flight promptly. However, before entering the Terminal 2 building, he graciously bid farewell to the photographers with a wave.

The Indian cricket team was granted a brief respite by the team management, allowing players to return home for a few days during the 10-day break between Tests. This break followed their victory against England in the second Test at Vizag, which leveled the 5-match series 1-1.

Meanwhile, talented batsman Shubman Gill was also spotted in Mumbai, departing on a separate flight later in the afternoon. Gill, who garnered attention from the paparazzi, responded to inquiries about his well-being with a simple yet positive “bohot badhiya” (very good).

As the focus shifts to the upcoming third Test at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill’s departures from Mumbai highlight the anticipation and preparations within the Indian cricket camp. With the series delicately poised, fans eagerly await the continuation of the thrilling contest between India and England on the cricketing field.
