With less than two months remaining, the excitement for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 is reaching a fever pitch. The cricketing extravaganza, hosted by the BCCI in India, promises to be a thrilling festival for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
This edition marks a historic moment as India takes on the responsibility of hosting the tournament independently for the very first time. The last instance of India hosting the event was in 2011, a joint effort with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The changes in schedule don’t stop at the marquee clash alone. The dates of eight other matches have also been shuffled to accommodate the logistical requirements of the tournament. England’s face-off against Afghanistan, initially set for Saturday, 14 October, in Delhi, will now unfold on Sunday, 15 October.
Pakistan’s match against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad has been rescheduled from Thursday, 12 October, to Tuesday, 10 October, adding a twist to the early phase of the tournament.
Meanwhile, cricket enthusiasts can anticipate a Thursday showdown on 12 October between Australia and South Africa in Lucknow, as their clash takes center stage. On Friday, 13 October, New Zealand’s encounter with Bangladesh will capture the attention of fans, following a slight shift in schedule.
