Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul has shared a major update on Twitter regarding his surgery. Sharing the post, Rahul wrote that he had a successful surgery for his thigh injury, which he suffered on May 1 in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2023. Rahul confirmed that he is feeling great after the surgery and is looking forward to getting back on the field soon.

KL Rahul gave an update regarding his injury through his social media handle. In this, he has not given any definite date regarding his return. Rahul wrote that his surgery was successful and thanked the medical staff for their efforts and for making the process go smoothly.

Rahul expressed his determination to return to the field soon and give his best. He ended his talk by saying that he is on the road to recovery and is looking forward to the upcoming matches.

Rahul wrote, “Hello everyone. My surgery is complete – it was successful. Thanks to the doctors and medical staff who made sure I was comfortable and everything went well. I am officially on the road to recovery. I am determined to return to my best and want to be back on the field soon.”

IPL 2023 has also been nothing special for KL Rahul as he continues his poor run of form in all formats of cricket. Despite his struggles with form across all formats, Rahul was dropped from the Test team after a series of failures in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but was still named in the squad for the World Test Championship final. Injuries to Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant contributed to Rahul’s retention in the team.

Ishan Kishan has been named as the backup wicket-keeper for the Indian team in the upcoming World Test Championship final after KL Rahul was injured. Along with Kishan, the selectors have also included Ruturaj Gaikwad, Mukesh Kumar and Suryakumar Yadav as reserves for the crucial clash starting June 7 in London.
