The Board Of Control For Cricket In India(BCCI) as announced the Indian women’s Squad for the the Australian tour which consists of of 3 ODIs, 3 T20s and one test match. The experience campaign Mithali Raj has been named as the the captain for the test and ODI matches while Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side in T20 and act as a deputy of Mithali Raj in  ODIs and test match.

Some major changes in the Indian Women Cricket Team

Some new names have been included into the squad while some players make their comeback into the Indian women’s squad. The medium pace bowler Meghna Singh and the left hand opener batsman Yastika Bhatia get there first call up to the Indian women’s  squad. Rajeshwari Gayakwad has also been included in the Indian women’s Squad for the Australian tour as he make her comeback to the  side. She was left out from The Indian women’s squad on the tour of England.

Gargi Banerjee the former Indian player has been appointed as the manager of the team for the Australian tour. Gargi Banerjee was the chairperson of the Indian women’s selection committee.

The Women In Blue will depart for Australia on 29 August from Bengaluru and will I have to undergo a mandatory Quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival. The Indian players who featured in the Hundred League and will have to report on 22nd August and will have to to undergo a six day Quarantine period before going to Australia. The Indian women squad and the staff members will be tested daily before flying to Australia.
