Phew! Finally the much awaited India vs England Series moves to it Final Destination. India will take on England in the fifth test of the Pataudi trophy on 10 September at the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. The Indian team is 2-1 up in the series and the host will try to to win the match and draw the series.
India vs England Test Series Moves to its Final Showdown
In the fourth India vs England after losing the toss were asked to bat first in the overcast conditions. The Indian team only managed to score 191 runs. Shardul Thakur and Virat Kohli scored 50 each to get India tour respectable total.
England finished at the score of 53 for 3 at the end of day 1. After losing to wickets on days 2 the English team were struggling but Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow came to the rescue. Ollie Pope scored 81 runs off 159 deliveries and build good partnership with Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali. England got the lead of 99 in the first innings with the help of Chris woakes half century.

In the second innings Rohit Sharma lead the way for the Indian team with a well deserved century. While Shardul Thakur ,Rishabh pant and Cheteshwar Pujara got to their half centuries. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul scored brilliant 40 runs to get India a match winning lead. With these healthy contributions Indian team posted a total of 466 on the board and a massive lead of 367.
England openers gave a decent start to the team. The England team were looking for a draw but it a terrific spell from Jaspreet bumrah brought India back into the game. The English team were bowled out for 210. India moved closer to an historic series win in England after 2007.
England have made changes to their squad for the fifth test against India. Jos buttler and jack Leach have been included once again into the squad while Billings misses out.
India will hope that Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma will be feet and available for the selection. They both missed the 4th test due to niggles while Umesh and Shardul Thakur taking their places.
We’re likely to witness some rain delays in the fifth Test, with heavy showers expected over the first three days. The average temperature should remain around 20 degrees Celsius.

The 5th Test will be played at the Old Trafford, Manchester usually offers some extra pace, bounce and seam movement but is expected to remain drier and offer some spin as the game progresses. The captain who will win the toss will look to bat first as batting in the fourth innings will be quite challenging.
Jos Buttler is likely to be included into the playing XI in place of either Moeen Ali or Johnny Bairstow. James Anderson is likely to be rested for the final match of the series. Craig Overton might miss out due to injury. Jack Leach and Mark Wood can feature in the playing XI.

England: Rory Burns, Haseeb Hameed, Dawid Malan, Joe Root (C), Ollie Pope, Jos Buttler(WK), Jonny Bairstow, Ollie Robinson, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, and Jack Leach.
Rahane might get one more chance in the XI fof the all important final match despite going through a lean patch. The top 7 of the Indian side will remain same for the fifth test against England. Ravichandran Ashwin might replace Mohammad Siraj in the playing XI. Shami will also be included in the playing XI if he is fit and available.

India will go into this Test with lots of positives and will back themselves to win the series 3-1. While both teams’ bowlers have been good, India’s batting has been better and that should give them the edge in the final Test at Old Trafford, Manchester.
