Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw has got a place in Team India after a long time. Let us tell you that Shaw was rewarded for his brilliant performance in domestic cricket and finally he returned to Team India.

The first match of the T20I series against New Zealand (IND vs NZ 1st T20I Match) to be played today i.e. on 27 January and is to be played in Ranchi. Before this match, Prithvi Shaw has given an emotional statement regarding his return.

Let tell that while giving an interview to BCCI, Shaw has narrated an interesting anecdote of his comeback confirmation, the video of which has been shared by BCCI itself.

Actually, Prithvi Shaw made his debut in T20I cricket in the year 2021 on the tour of Sri Lanka. Where Shaw was dismissed on the very first ball in his debut match. After that he did not get a place in the team again and he continued to play domestic matches. In domestic cricket, Prithvi Shaw returned to Team India after performing brilliantly.

Why Prithvi Shaw was scared of making a comeback in Team India?

Let us tell you that Prithvi Shaw was made a part of the Indian team for the T20I series against New Zealand (IND vs NZ T20I 2023). But after a long time when he was selected in the team, he was quite scared. In such a situation, what was troubling him, it was recently revealed by Shaw in the BCCI interview.

Talking to BCCI, Shaw (Prithvi Shaw) told that

“Team India’s squad was selected late at night. The team would have been selected around 10:30 am. I noticed that there are many messages and missed calls on the phone. There were so many messages on the phone that my phone started hanging. At first I was scared too, but I was wondering what happened that so many people are calling. After that I saw the phone and then I came to know that my time has returned for Indian team. It has been a very tough journey for me, after 18 months, I got a chance to make a comeback.”
