We’re in the endgame now. the ODI series reads 1-1 and we’re in for a decider…..Again! India has made it a habit to win decider’s but can’t they do it this time as well? After winning the first match from the jaws of defeat India face an uphill task to win the third and final ODI against England. The question remains the same, can India do it? Can India win it? Today we shall be discussing how India Can beat England in the 3rd ODI of Paytm India vs England ODI series.
1) New Spin Attack:
Indian spinners haven’t been at their best this series. While Krunal looked good with the bat, he struggled with the bowl and leaked runs. Kuldeep Yadav, who was once India’s main spinner in this format has been clueless for a really long time now. After getting thrashed by Stokes and Bairstow he seems to have lost his mojo. The only way India can win is if they pick Chahal and possibly even Washington and strengthen their spin attack
2) Get The Openers Out Cheaply:
Roy and Bairstow have been absolutely sensational at the top. They has two 100 run partnerships and don’t look in any mood to stop. Thus, the only way to win would be to get one of them out cheaply. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been economical upfront, none of the other seamers have been able to get the two of them early and that’s where the problem starts.
3) Intent in the Middle Overs:
As harsh as it may sound, Every team needs to take the aggressive route in the middle overs as that has been the key to success. While KL Rahul was given a job to stay till the end he couldn’t go all guns blazing, but his partner could. It is really important that one batsman takes the attacking route and puts some pressure on the English spinners.
