International cricket manager for the Afghanistan Cricket Board, Farveez Maharoof, has expressed his disappointment with the situation, saying that the umpires felt there was some improvement on the ground but not enough to warrant play. Maharoof is hoping that the rain holds off on the third day, allowing for some play to take place.

An Afghanistan Cricket Offical Offical said – “BCCI offered us Kanpur, Bengaluru & Noida. We choose Noida because it’s closer to Delhi and connectivity from Kabul is better.”

Many flaws remains in Greater Noida Stadium facility:

The lack of a comprehensive drainage system at the stadium has been identified as the main cause of the problem. The venue’s inability to cope with rain has resulted in a muddy and uneven surface, making it difficult for players to perform at their best.
