Brian Lara, Simon Katich among SRH’s new look support staff

The former West Indies batter, Brian Lara has been been appointed as the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting coach and strategic advisor. The former Indian player Hemang Badani has joined the SRH as the fielding coach.

As per the sources, Dale Steyn is set to join SRH as bowling coach. Simon Katich has been appointed as the assistant coach by the SRH Franchise. He was the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore last year. Katich will replace his former teammate, Brad Haddin. After a disastrous season, World Cup winning coach Trevor Bayliss is replaced by Tom Moody, interestingly Tom Moody has coached SRH from 2013-2016. VVS Laxman left the franchise after he was appointed as the Director of the National Cricket Academy.

Latham named captain for Bangladesh test, Ajaz Patel left out

New Zealand have announced their squad for the series against Bangladesh, that will comprise of ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle

Tom Latham has been appointed as the New Zealand test captain for the upcoming two match series against Bangladesh.  The series will began from 1 January at the Bay Oval.  Kane Williamson has been ruled out of the test series against Bangladesh due elbow injury.  Latham will lead the side for an entire series for the first time. Devon Conway returns to the squad after missing the two match test series against India.  But after making the history, Ajaz Patel has been included in the 13 man squad. He was the highest wicket taker in the series against India. While Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell have held on their places.

Archer to remain on the sidelines after second elbow surgery

Jofra Archer continues to be sidelined out of Cricketing action for 6 more months

Jofra Archer is all set to be on the sidelines for more time after undergoing his second elbow surgery.  The news was announced by England Cricket Board on Wednesday. Jofra Archer underwent a surgery in the month of May this year and missed the entire English summer and all important series against India. He was also ruled out from the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and is currently unavailable for the Ashes series. ECB announced that he underwent a elbow surgery on 11th December.  But he will not be available for any winter series in England.
