Veerasammy Permaul’s five-for power West Indies to run over Sri Lanka
The hosts Sri Lanka lead the two-match test series against the power packed West Indies by 1-0. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the host got off to a great start on a rain-affected Day 1.Young Pathum Nissanka scored 73 and was brillantly supported by the Sri Lanka captain, Dimuth Karunaratne, who scored 42.

Lance Klusener not to extend Afghanistan contract
The former South Africa all-rounder, Lance klusener has decided not to extend his contract with Afghanistan Cricket Board. Lance Klusener was appointed as the head coach of Afghanistan cricket team in 2019 and his contract is set to end on 31st December, 2021.

The Afghanistan cricket has grown under his guidance. Under him Afghanistan qualified directly for the super 12 stage of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Both Afghanistan cricket board and Lance Klusener have mutually agreed not to extend his contract.
Shakib, Taskin return for second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan
The star all rounder, Shakib Al Hasan and medium pacer Taskin Ahmed are fit and will be available to play for the second test against Pakistan. The second and last match of test series will be played at the Sher-E Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from Saturday. They both missed the first test against Pakistan. Mohammad Naim Sheikh has received his maiden call up for Bangladesh for the second test against Pakistan.
