India, New Zealand welcomed with saffron stoles in Kanpur, Ram Bhajan played in the background
On Monday, New Zealand team reached the Landmark hotel in Kanpur for first test of the series. India and New Zealand reached to witness a grand welcome. This was not the first time when players were welcomed with saffron stoles and Ram Bhajan played in the background.
Due to bio bubble, the hotel staff did not applied teeka on the player’s forehead. The kiwis asked for the desi cuisine – Indian food instead of continental. They were served with Tandoori paratha, butter chicken, biryani and Kadhai paneer.

The players were confused with the grand welcome, for which they were informed that the world’s largest Ram temple is going to be built in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
KL Rahul out of New Zealand Test Series, Suryakumar in as replacement
On Tuesday, BCCI confirmed that the senior opener, KL Rahul has been ruled out of the entire test series against New Zealand starting from 25 November in Kanpur due to muscle strain.
Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the test squad as replacement, for two match series against the Kiwis. KL Rahul has strained the muscle injury on his left thigh forcing him to miss the series. The two match series is also the part of World Test Championship cycle 2021-2023.

Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna
Mayank Agarwal and Shubham Gill are likely to open for the side in the upcoming series against the black caps. Earlier, it was for Gill to play in the middle order, but now with Rahul out he is set to play as opener again. Shreyas Iyer can make his debut for India in test to fill the middle order spot.

Mahmadul Hasan Joy, Rejaur Rahman Raja new faces in Bangladesh Test squad
Batter Mahmadul Hasan Roy and fast bowler Rejaur Rahman Raja have received their maiden test calls for Bangladesh against Pakistan for the first test. The first test of the two match series begins on 26 November in Chattogram.
