Australia’s Alyssa Healy was signed by UP Warriorz for Rs 70 lakh at the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction which means the UP Warriorz captain will be earning 70 lakhs in the first season of WPL. Healy is one of the most destructive openers in women’s cricket and she has managed to score 2355 runs in 137 T20Is at a strike rate of 128.26, with one hundred and 13 fifties. Healy has played for the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League.

 

4. Gujarat Giants – Beth Mooney

Beth Mooney was bought by the Gujarat Giants for 2 Crores. Mooney will be leading the Gujarat side in the inaugural WPL season. Mooney has an amazing record in T20Is, having scored 2350 runs in 83 matches at a stellar average of 40.51 and a strike rate of 124.60. Beth has hit two international hundreds in the T20 format and 18 fifties.

Meg will be earning 11 million rupees in her first WPL season for Delhi.

The star all-rounder was the second player to be signed in the auction after Smriti Mandhana. The 33-year-old is India’s leading woman cricketer in the T20I format and is the fourth leading-run scorer in women’s T20Is with 2956 runs in 147 matches.
