In a significant development, the Board for Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has delivered promising fitness updates on star fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, both currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

According to the announcement made on Friday, July 21, the two pace sensations are in the final stages of their rehabilitation and will soon be seen in action during practice games before making their much-awaited national comeback.

“The two fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehab and are bowling with full intensity in the nets. The duo will now play some practice games, which the NCA will organize,” confirmed the governing body.

The BCCI Medical Team has been closely monitoring their progress and is delighted with the significant strides they have made in their recovery. The final decision on their return to the national team will be made after a thorough assessment following the practice games.

Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian speedster, has been recovering from a back injury that kept him sidelined since his last appearance in the second T20I against Australia in September 2022. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna last played an ODI against Zimbabwe away from home in August of the same year before being ruled out due to a stress fracture.

Both players had to undergo successful surgeries after being ruled out of the Indian Premier League earlier this year, and they are now determined to showcase their talent in the upcoming three-match T20I series in Ireland next month, provided they pass the fitness assessment.

As the cricketing world eagerly awaits further updates, fans and experts alike are hoping for a successful rehabilitation period for Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna. Their presence on the field would undoubtedly enhance India’s chances in upcoming international fixtures, and fans are keeping their fingers crossed for their swift return to competitive cricket.
