South Africa wrote a new history

South Africa needed an explosive start to reach the mammoth target of 259 runs from the West Indies and the opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Hendricks performed this responsibility well. After the dismissals of De kock and Hendricks, South African captain Adam Markram took the lead and scored an unbeaten 38 off 21 balls. Markram also got good support from Heinrich Klaasen, who scored a crucial 16 not out off just 7 balls. The target of 259 runs was achieved by the South African team with 7 balls remaining.

Earlier, after losing the toss, the West Indies did not have a good start to bat and Brandon King returned to the pavilion after scoring one run. After this, Kyle Mayers and Johnson Charles wreaked havoc with the bat and put on 135 runs for the second wicket.
