A fiery ball from New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne sliced Sri Lankan batsman Pathum Nissanka’s bat into two pieces. The second T20I International match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka was played at the University Oval.

After suffering defeat in the first T20I International match, New Zealand made a strong comeback on Wednesday and defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets.

Meanwhile, Adam Milne made headlines with his pace ball. Milne broke Nissanka’s bat on the fifth ball of the first over of Sri Lanka’s innings. The right-arm pacer bowled on the off and middle stump line, which was defended by Nissanka on the backfoot. As soon as the ball touched the bat, it broke. Let us tell that Sri Lankan batsmen succumbed to New Zealand’s deadly bowling of Adam Milne (5 wickets) and the whole team got all out after scoring 141 runs in 19 overs.

After this, New Zealand achieved the target by losing one wicket in 14.4 overs thanks to the stormy innings of Tim Seifert (79*). Now the third and final T20I International match between the two countries will be played in Queenstown on Saturday.

Let us tell you that the Sri Lankan team has got only one win so far on the current New Zealand tour. Earlier, Sri Lanka had suffered a 0-2 clean sweep at the hands of New Zealand in the two-match Test series.
