He wrote ‘a great match! You win some you lose some and as we all know this game can be brutal and unfair. Team Pakistan could not have given more with bat and ball very proud of their effort.’
Talking about the match, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar proved Rohit Sharma’s decision to field first after winning the toss.
Arshdeep broke Pakistan’s back by dismissing Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan inside the powerplay. But later, on the basis of half-centuries from Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed, Pakistan scored 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
India had a target of 160 runs, which was not a difficult task for the Indian batsmen, but Pakistan’s bowling made it difficult and gave Team India 4 blows for 31.
Later, Kohli and Hardik shared a partnership of 113 runs to get the team back and won the last ball by 4 wickets in the thrilling match. With this victory, Team India has reached the top of its group.
