Ravi Shastri has made it clear that , he will no longer be the head coach of Indian cricket team after ICC World T20 2021. BCCI will look for someone else for the role of head coach. Shastri has been the coach of Indian cricket team since 2017 after Anil Kumble resigned .
Ravi Shastri has been phenomenal as the head coach. Indian team achieved many milestones ,especially in test cricket. Under him, Indian team beat the mighty Australian twice on their home soil. The Indian team is leading the England series by 2-1.

Anil Kumble
The job of head coach is not new to the Indian spin wizard, Anil Kumble. Currently, Anil Kumble is the head coach of Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. He has also served as the head coach of Indian cricket team for one year. He stepped down from his job after the Champions Trophy 2017 loss against Pakistan.
He had some issues with the Indian captain , Virat Kohli. Although, Virat Kohli will step down from T20 captaincy after the World T20 2021 . Anil Kumble might return to serve Indian Cricket again in the role of head coach.
VVS Laxman
Indian batting legend , VVS Laxman is working with the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the Indian Premier League as a mentor and is the batting consultant of the Bengal Ranji team. Under his guidance, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL title in 2016.
Laxman is the regarded as the God of the 4th innings and is one of the finest test players Indian cricket has ever produced. He has played 134 test in his carrer scoring 8781 runs with 56 half centuries and 17 tons. In ODI, he has scored 2338 runs with 10 half centuries and 10 centuries in 83 innings.
He is also one of the members of the Cricket Advisory committee alongside with Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. He assist BCCI in top cricketing issues.
Virendra Sehwag
Back in 2017 , Virendra Sehwag applied for the post of head coach in the Indian Cricket team.
Sehwag had made a last-minute submission for the job of head coach in the Indian Cricket team and he eventually ended up losing to current coach Ravi Shastri.
Sehwag has had the experience of coaching IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab in the past. Will that experience help him get the Indian coaching job provided he applies for the same? We’ll have to wait and see.
