Young opener Sam Konstas re-enters the squad after impressing in the Sheffield Shield for New South Wales, and he is in contention to open alongside Usman Khawaja.

In the bowling department, Australia prefers left-arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann over Todd Murphy as Nathan Lyon’s deputy, signaling a strategic move ahead of the Caribbean Test series. The squad also includes other key players such as Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and Beau Webster.

South Africa has assembled a robust 15-member squad for their first-ever WTC final appearance, led by captain Temba Bavuma. The Proteas have made only two changes from their previous Test series against Pakistan, with Lungi Ngidi, returning from a groin injury, rejoining the squad.
