The Indian women’s hockey team did not qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics and hence is not playing.

India women finished a historic fourth-place finish at Tokyo 2020, ousted in the bronze medal match.

Since then, the women’s team faced setbacks in both the Asian Games and the FIH Olympic Qualifiers – tournaments that offered a hockey quota for Paris 2024.

The setbacks meant that the Indian women’s hockey team did not make the cut for Summer Games. In fact, India are the highest-ranked women’s hockey side not playing at Paris 2024.
