The second Test match of Ashes 2023 between England and Australia is being played at Lord’s in London. Shortly after the start of the match, Just Stop Oil protestors interrupted the match, due to which the game was stopped for some time.

Seeing the protesters on the field, England’s wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow handled the matter himself and picked up a protester and left him outside the boundary line.

Indian spinner R Ashwin shared the video of this incident. In the video, you can see that Bairstow is seen picking up the protester and going to drop him outside the ground boundary line. Two oil protesters had reached the ground. This incident happened in the first session of the match itself.

Sharing the video, Ashwin wrote, “Good start to the second test. Bairstow has already done some heavy weight lifting.” Next, he shared laughing emojis.

Commenting on R Ashwin’s video, a user wrote, “Dad takes us to school like when you are not going to school.” Another user wrote, “The only thing that Bairstow caught in this series.” One user called it the “catch of the century”. Similarly, the fans gave different reactions to this video of Ashwin.

Let us tell you that the first Test match of Ashes 2023 was played in Birmingham. In that match, Australia registered a resounding victory by 2 wickets. Captain Pat Cummins played an important role with the bat in this victory of Australia. Chasing the runs in the fourth innings, Pat Cummins scored an inning of 44* with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. During this, spinner Nathan Lyon stood at the other end and scored 16* with the help of 2 fours.
