The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to captivate cricket fans, with co-hosts India and Sri Lanka ready to stage a month-long spectacle from February 7 to March 8, 2026.

This 20-team tournament will follow the successful format of the 2024 event, commencing with a group stage, followed by the Super Eights, and culminating in the knockout matches.

Host Venues and Tournament Structure:

A total of eight venues across the two nations will share the 55 matches. The final showdown is scheduled for March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, though the venue may shift to Colombo if Pakistan reaches the final.

Semi-finals are tentatively slated for the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Other host cities in India include New Delhi and Chennai. Sri Lanka’s venues are the R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (Colombo), and the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy)

The 20 participating nations are divided into four groups of five:

  • Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia
  • Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
  • Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
  • Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eights stage.

The group stage runs from February 7 to February 20, with matches generally held at 11:00 AM IST, 3:00 PM IST, and 7:00 PM IST. All timings below are in Indian Standard Time (IST).

World Cup 2026

Super Eights and Knockout Stage:

The Super Eights phase begins on February 21, with the eight qualifying teams split into two pools for another round of round-robin matches to determine the top four. The semi-finals will be played on March 4 and March 5, with the Grand Finale for the T20 World Cup 2026 title on March 8.
