Actually, 28-year-old batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran was being considered as a strong contender for the Test team, but he has not found a place in the team. He has given a statement after not being selected in his team, in which he has said that it is sad that I did not get selected, but I want to be better as a cricketer. I want to raise my level every day. Team selection is not in my hands but I can improve myself.
Further he added,
“Anything I can do to contribute more to my team, no matter which team I play for, be it club, state, India A or the Indian team. I just want to focus on that. I don’t want to give up.
Let us tell you that Abhimanyu Easwaran has scored 6556 runs in 150 innings while playing 87 first class matches. His average has been 47.85. Abhimanyu has scored a total of 22 centuries and 26 half-centuries, he has 3376 runs in 78 List A matches.
During this, his average was 46.24. Easwaran has scored seven centuries and 21 half-centuries.
