The much-awaited World Cup 2023 match between India and arch-rivals Pakistan will be played on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Former Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal believes that his team is a strong contender for victory in this match.
Saeed Ajmal believes that the Indian team does not have such a bowling attack that can give a fight to the Pakistani batsmen. In the Nadir Ali podcast, Ajmal lashed out at the Indian bowling attack and said that they do not have the lethal bowling attack that Pakistan has.
Saeed Ajmal said, “The Indian bowling attack has always been weak. Later Siraj bowled well, Shami is bowling well. I think Jadeja can prove to be important in spinners. Jasprit Bumrah could have been a threat to Pakistan, but he hasn’t been fit for a while. I don’t think the Indian bowling attack can be a threat to Pakistan.”
Talking about the World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan, Ajmal said that Babar Azam’s team is 60 per cent favorites to win. He said, “India’s batting has always been strong, our bowling is lethal. This match will be equal, right now I can say that Pakistan has 60 percent chance of winning. Yes, keeping in mind the Indian conditions, it would not be wrong to say that if Pakistan restricts the opposition to a low score, they’ll win.”
