However, due to injuries, Sri Lanka‘s roster has undergone some adjustments. Four key players – Avishka Fernando, Dushmantha Chameera, Dhanushka Madushanka, and Lahiru Kumara – are sidelined due to various injuries. As Sri Lanka gears up for the Asia Cup, Matisha Pathirana and Mahesh Tikshana have been given the opportunity to shine. These players, who represent the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, played a pivotal role in securing the IPL 2023 title for their team. In the recent IPL season, Tikshana claimed 13 wickets, while Pathirana’s impressive tally reached 19 wickets.
