Indian cricket fans won’t have to wait long to see the veteran duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in action. The two stars wrapped up their tour of Australia on a high note, leading India to a huge nine-wicket win in the final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Though India lost the series 2-1, the final match proved the quality of these experienced players. Australia was held to 236 runs, thanks to a great performance by pacer Harshit Rana, who took 4/39.
The chase was then anchored by Rohit’s unbeaten 121 off 125 balls. He and Kohli put on a fantastic, unbroken 168-run partnership, with Kohli scoring 74 not out off 81 balls. Their partnership helped India win easily in just 38.3 overs.

Even with their success in Sydney, there are still questions about their future in the 50-over format, especially with this likely being their last tour of Australia. However, their next game for India is already planned.
Since they’ve retired from T20Is and Tests, Rohit and Kohli will miss the upcoming T20I series in Australia and the two-match Test series against South Africa, which ends on November 26.
Fans should focus on their return for the three-match ODI series against South Africa at home. This series will run from November 30 to December 6, with games in Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam.
