Pakistan team sweeps Australia in a dominant T20i series., concluding the three-match T20I series with a clinical performance at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The hosts secured a massive 111-run victory in the final match on February 1, 2026, leaving the Australian side searching for answers against a relentless spin attack.

In the series finale, Pakistan set a formidable target of 208 runs, credits to brilliant half-centuries from Saim Ayub (56) and Babar Azam (50)*. Australia’s chase never gained momentum as they were all sent to dug-out for a mere 96 runs—their biggest-ever defeat by runs in T20I history.

The star of the show was left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz, who dismantled the batting lineup with a stunning five-wicket haul (5-18).

  • 2nd T20I: Skipper Salman Ali Agha led from the front with a blistering 76 off 40 balls, guiding Pakistan to 198. The spin duo of Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan then took three wickets each to bowl Australia out for 108, securing a 90-run win.

With the T20I World Cup just days away, this 3-0 “whitewash” serves as a massive mentality-boosting win. Dominating a top-tier team like Australia provides the “Men in Green”.

But off the field, tensions remain high as Pakistan government has advised the team to avoid playing their scheduled T20I World Cup match against India on February 15.

While various sources claim Pakistan has denied to play this specific fixture in protest of recent ICC decisions, ICC officials have clarified that they have not yet received any formal communication or “call” from the PCB regarding a boycott.
