Jasprit Bumrah finished with 5 for 42 in South Africa vs India third test

On Day 2 of the decider third test, South Africa was all out for 210 against India in their first innings. South Africa was at 176 with the loss of 7 wickets at tea and then added 34 more runs at the loss of three wickets during the final session of Day 2. Keegan Petersen was the top scorer for the hosts who scored 72 off 166 balls, which made it possible for South Africa to reach a decent total with respect to India’s first innings total of 223.

The visitors’ bowling line-up was led by Jasprit Bumrah who got rid of five South African batters while Umesh Yadav picked up a couple of wickets. Umesh Yadav was included in for Mohammed Siraj, faced the hamstring injury during the second test match and ultimately ruled out of the 3rd test match. Mohammad Shami knocked two batters while Shardul Thakur added one to his tally as well.

India started second innings by losing their opening batters early on and just posted 57 runs on the board at stumps. Cheteshwar Pujara (14) and Virat Kohli (9) have the responsibility of taking India to a winning total.
