The search for England’s new white-ball coach is gaining momentum, with two high-profile candidates emerging as front-runners for the coveted role. Andrew Flintoff, a former England all-rounder, and Michael Hussey, the batting consultant who played a key role in England’s T20 World Cup triumph, are both in the mix to succeed Matthew Mott.

Flintoff, currently the head coach of Northern Superchargers, has impressed with his leadership skills and ability to connect with players. His experience as a player and his current coaching credentials make him an attractive option to take the reins of England’s white-ball team.

Hussey, on the other hand, has been instrumental in improving England’s batting line-up during his time as batting consultant. His expertise in the 50-over format and ability to fine-tune players’ techniques have been highly valued by the England camp.
