Ishant Sharma’s finger got dislocated during the first test while fielding. Vice captain Ajinkya Rahane sustained a hamstring injury while fielding on the final day of the Kanpur test, while Ravindra Jadeja injured his forearm and scans suggest that there is a hugh amount of swelling. Rahane’s injury surprised everyone because he attended the indoor practice session ahead of the Mumbai Test.
Mendis, Embuldeniya help Sri Lanka clean sweep West Indies 2-0
The spin twin of the Sri Lankan side, Ramesh Mendis and Lasith Embuldeniya bowled out West Indies for just 132 in the second innings of the 2nd test match to clean sweep the series. The twin five wicket haul helped Sri Lanka to beat West Indies comfortably by 164 runs. The visitors were chasing 297 on the final day and lost their first five wickets under 100 runs.
