India’s chief selector Chetan Sharma landed in trouble when his media sting operation went viral. Chetan Sharma elaborates on every hot topic in Indian cricket, from the Virat Kohli-Sourav Ganguly controversy to the Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli feud, but he didn’t realize that because of his sting operation he can get target in media. The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI is going to take strict action against Chetan Sharma. It is also believed that he can be removed from his post as the chief selector.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly not happy with Chetan Sharma and is planning to sack him as the national selector as a result of this sting operation. The BCCI is also said to be unhappy with Chetan Sharma because he has spoken on such issues to someone who was definitely an outsider.

A BCCI official told the news agency, “It will be (BCCI secretary) Jay Shah’s decision as to what will be Chetan’s future. The question is whether T20I captain Hardik Pandya or ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma would want to sit with Chetan in the selection meeting, knowing that he has done the job of fueling internal discussions.”
