The WPL 2023 season couldn’t have started any better for Mumbai Indians, as they outplayed Gujarat Giants by a huge margin of 143 runs in their opening encounter. MI Women put up a stellar batting performance, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur leading from the front.
Along with the captain, Amelia Kerr, Hayley Matthews, and Natalie Sciver Brunt also looked in fine form against Gujarat Giants. The team currently at the top of the points table and will be aiming to continue their winning form in the WPL 2023.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, started their WPL 2023 on a bad note, losing their first game to Delhi Capitals by 60 runs. They leaked runs and lost in the one sided game. The team led by superstar, Smriti Mandhana will be hoping to make a strong comeback and register their first win of the season.
