The Australian Cricket team is currently caught up in the exciting Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series in 2024. After losing the first Test in Perth, but they made a strong comeback in Adelaide, and the next in Brisbane resulted in a draw due to rain. Now, the team is preparing for the crucial Boxing Day Test, and there is a lot of pressure on Australian Cricket Team for sure.

Winning the next both matches is vital for both teams, as it affects their rankings in the World Test Championship (WTC), which will lead to the WTC  final in 2025. After the fourth Test on December 31, the teams will face off again in the fifth Test on January 3, right at the start of the new year.

After this tough series against India, the Australian Cricket team will head over to Sri Lanka for a short tour. This series will consist of two Test matches and one One Day International (ODI). The first Test is scheduled for January 29, the second Test on February 6, and the ODI will be played on February 13. Once this tour wraps up, the players will shift their focus to various domestic leagues like the IPL, PSL, and in others keeping them busy and in form.

As the year progresses, the Australian Cricket team will also be involved in other important tournaments, including the WTC Final and the Champions Trophy. These events will very crucial as everyone’s eyes keeps on these tournaments.

Next is, ‘The Ashes‘ this series is set to start on November 21, 2025, with the first Test taking place at the famous Gabba. The next matches are planned for December 4, 17, and 26, ensuring thrilling cricket for fans. The final match of this exciting series will be held on January 4, 2026, making it an epic showdown between Australia and England.
