Ottis Gibson came to a decision that he won’t be renewing his contract as the fast bowling coach of the Bangladesh cricket team. The 52-year old, Ottis Gibson completed his two-year with the Bangladesh Cricket Board this month as per the contract. His best time as the coach with the Bangladesh side came during the New Zealand tour this month when the Bangladesh pacers took 13 wickets in Mount Maunganui which lead to a famous win over the hosts.
Ebadot Hossain, who took 6/46 in the second innings, is one of the fast pacers who really showed a lot of improvement during Gibson’s time as the bowling coach. Now as per recent reports, Ottis Gibson is set to join the Pakistan Super League (PSL) side Multan Sultans from the start of their campaign on the 27th of this month.
“Ottis Gibson didn’t want to renew his contract which we accepted.Local coaches will look after the fast-bowling department temporarily. We hope to replace Gibson with another foreign coach shortly,” Jalal Yunus, BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman, told ESPNcricinfo.

Former West Indies pacer, Ottis Gibson, played two Tests and 15 ODIs between 1995 and 1999. He featured in 177 first-class matches where he bagged 659 wickets and scored 5604 runs as an all-rounder. Ottis Gibson was also the head coach for the West Indies from 2010 to 2014. Gibson previously has been associated twice with England and with South Africa between 2017 and 2019 in different roles.
