The year 2026 is set to be one of the busiest periods for senior international cricket. From high-stakes World Cups to historic bilateral series, fans have a lot to look forward to.
The fixtures for the start of the year are confirmed, while the mid-to-late year schedule follows the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).
Here is the official senior men’s cricket schedule for 2026:

January: New Zealand Tour of India
This is a confirmed home series for India. It consists of 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is.
- 1st ODI: January 11 – BCA Stadium, Vadodara (1:30 PM IST)
- 2nd ODI: January 14 – Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot (1:30 PM IST)
- 3rd ODI: January 18 – Holkar Stadium, Indore (1:30 PM IST)
- 1st T20I: January 21 – VCA Stadium, Nagpur (7:00 PM IST)
- 2nd T20I: January 23 – SVNS Stadium, Raipur (7:00 PM IST)
- 3rd T20I: January 25 – Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati (7:00 PM IST)
- 4th T20I: January 28 – ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam (7:00 PM IST)
- 5th T20I: January 31 – Greenfield Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram (7:00 PM IST)

February – March: ICC Men’s T20I World Cup
The showpiece event of the year will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
- Dates: February 7 – March 8
- Opening Match: Pakistan vs. Netherlands (February 7 in Colombo)
- India’s Defense: India enters as defending champions. Their group matches include clashes against the USA, Namibia, Pakistan, and the Netherlands.
March – May: Franchise Cricket
IPL 2026: Scheduled from March 26 to May 31. The auction has already concluded in Abu Dhabi, with record-breaking bids for players like Cameron Green and Prashant Veer.
June – August: Test and White-Ball Summer
- June: Afghanistan tour of India (1 Test, 3 ODIs).
- July: India tour of England. A major away tour featuring 5 T20Is (starting July 1) and 3 ODIs.
- August: India tour of Sri Lanka (2 Tests, part of the World Test Championship).
