December 2025 promises to be a thrilling month for international cricket, featuring major tours and one of the sport’s most historic rivalries. Fans can look forward to competitive series across three continents, with fixtures starting early in the month and running through to the New Year.
Here’s the International Cricket Schedule in December 2025:—
The Ashes: Australia vs. England
The marquee series of the month is the ongoing Ashes, which features three crucial Test matches in December. All times mentioned are in Indian Standard Time (IST).
- The month begins with the crucial 2nd Test (Day/Night), scheduled from December 4th to December 8th at The Gabba in Brisbane. The day/night contest is set to begin at 9:30 AM IST.
- The action moves to the Adelaide Oval for the 3rd Test from December 17th to December 21st. This match will have a morning start for Indian viewers at 5:30 AM IST.
- The traditional Boxing Day Test (4th Test) will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), running from December 25th to December 29th. Like the Adelaide Test, it is scheduled to start at 5:30 AM IST.

India vs. South Africa: ODIs and T20Is
Team India’s home schedule against South Africa will feature the conclusion of the ODI series and a full five-match T20I series. All matches are to be played in India.
- The three-match ODI series concludes with the 2nd ODI on December 3rd at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur, followed by the 3rd ODI on December 6th at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Both ODIs are scheduled for an afternoon start at 1:30 PM IST.
- The five-match T20I series kicks off on December 9th at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
- The 2nd T20I is on December 11th in New Chandigarh, and the 3rd T20I is set for December 14th at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
- The series then moves to the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow for the 4th T20I on December 17th, concluding with the 5th T20I on December 19th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A full three-match Test series between New Zealand and the West Indies will be played across various venues in New Zealand, with a consistent start time for early risers.
