As Team India celebrates its triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024, the team is gearing up for a new chapter in the shortest format of the game. With stalwarts Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja announcing their retirement from T20 cricket, the team will rely on its young talent to defend its title in the 2026 T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The journey begins with a five-match series against Zimbabwe in July 2024, followed by a three-match tour of Sri Lanka. The home leg will feature three T20Is against Bangladesh in September 2024. The Indian team will then face England in a five-match series at home in January-February 2025.

In 2025, Team India will travel to Bangladesh for another three-match series in August, followed by a challenging tour of Australia, where they will play five T20Is. The year will conclude with a five-match series against South Africa at home in November.
