Cricket coach Grant Bradburn bids farewell to his role as the high-performance coach of the Pakistan men’s team, concluding a chapter that spanned five years. Bradburn, who initially took on the position of head coach in May, confirmed his departure via social media after fulfilling various roles within the team.
Expressing pride in his accomplishments, Bradburn highlighted the privilege of working with exceptional players and coaches during his tenure. His notable stint included coaching the Pakistan team during the 2023 World Cup. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) underwent coaching staff changes in November 2023, leading to Bradburn’s shift in position.

The PCB clarified that all coaches would continue working in the National Cricket Academy, with new coaching staff announcements anticipated for upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand. Subsequently, former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez was named as the new coach.
Despite Pakistan’s recent Test series loss to Australia, Bradburn extended well wishes for the future of Pakistan cricket. “Wishing the teams, staff, and everyone at Pakistan Cricket continued success and growth,” he remarked.
Looking ahead, Bradburn is set to embark on a new coaching chapter with Glamorgan in the UK. The official announcement for his role is expected soon, signifying his exit from the international coaching scene. The 57-year-old, who represented Northern Districts in the 80s and 90s and played for New Zealand, leaves behind a legacy shaped by his dedication to the sport.
