Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise. He will captain the side in the 15th edition of the tournament.

Shreyas Iyer was not retained by the Delhi Capitals before the mega auction. Shreyas Iyer was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for whooping 12.25 crores and now has been named as captain of the team.
