The Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja displaced West Indian Jason Holder to register the number one spot under his name. Recently Jadeja got the Player of The Match award for his unbeaten 175-run knock and 9 wickets in the Mohali Test against Sri Lanka.
Jason Holder now slipped to the 2nd spot while another Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin got slipped to the 3rd spot.
Former Indian test skipper Virat Kohli, who played his 100th Test, made a comeback to the top 5 batters in Test rankings and the fearless wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who recently scored 96 runs against Sri Lanka entered the top 10 list of test batters on the back.
Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne stayed on the top and is currently the best test batter in the world, and his rating is 936 which keeps him at No.12 in the all-time list, with Ricky Ponting, Steve Smith, and Don Bradman being the only Aussies having higher rating than the 27-year-old Labuschagne.
There were no such major changes in the top 10 men’s rankings of Test bowlers. Neil Wagner and Josh Hazlewood swapped their spots at eighth and ninth respectively.
In the new ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, Bangladesh’s Nasum Ahmed is the big mover among the bowlers, jumping up 17 places to make the top ten.
South Africa’s Anrich Nortje’s move up to 7th above Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the only other change in the top 10. There are no big movers high in the Batting or All-Rounder Rankings for Men’s T20Is, although Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai does jump six places higher in the former, joining Rohit Sharma tied at 13th thanks to his match-winning 59* against Bangladesh.
