IPL-2022, Match 54, RCB vs SRH Highlights: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 67 runs in the 54th match of the TATA IPL 2022 season at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t have a good start to their batting innings as Virat Kohli got out on another golden duck to Jagadeesha Suchith but the skipper Faf Du Plessis and Rajat Patidar didn’t let any further pressure build on as they managed a partnership of 105 runs for the 2nd wicket, before Rajat Patidar got back to pavilion after scoring 48 in 38 deliveries. Faf Du Plessis was the top scorer as he scored 73 runs in just 50 deliveries while in the middle Glen Maxwell scored 33 in 24 balls and Dinesh Kartik scored 30 in just 8 deliveries to take RCBs total to 192/3.
While chasing, Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t expect such a bad start losing both of the openers on ducks in the very first over as Maxwell got rid of Abhishek Sharma and Williamson was sent back without even facing a single delivery with run out. The only impressive batter was Rahul Tripathi scoring 58 in just 37 deliveries except him the whole middle order struggled after the top order failed to provide a good start in such a high chasing game. Wanindu Hasarange stamped a fiver under his name including a maiden over in his spell of 4 overs.
