Gujarat Titans didn’t had a good start of their batting innings losing Shubham Gill early on but then the skipper Hardik Pandya comes and scores a brilliant half century guiding Gujarat to a total of 156/9 losing 4 of their wickets in the final over of the innings, which was the only over bowled by Andre Russell and scoring just 5 runs in it. David Miller also scored valuable 27 runs in 20 deliveries in the middle.

Later on the game, again KKR’s opening pair struggles, this time Sam Billings opened along with Sunil Narine and both of them were back to the pavilion early on as KKR were 10/2 and things got more worse as they lost Nitish Rana and the skipper Shreyas Iyer quickly which put KKR on the backfoot on a score of 34/4. Unexpectedly for KKR, Rinku Singh, who was playing his first match of the season for the Knights played an important innings of 35 runs in the middle having a good partnership with Venkatesh Iyer.

In the last 4 overs of the game, It was Andre “THE GIANT” Russell vs Gujarat Titans and again Russell failed to lead his team to victory as he lost his wicket in the final over of the game scoring 48 runs in just 25 deliveries. Is there too much dependency of KKR on Russell? They need quickly find a solution for the opening pair to form a foundation for the upcoming batters.
